Eagles Rocked

Ok.. this is overdue...

Last year in March I caught the Eagles in Montreal along with some good friends of mine...

I'll just have to go on record as saying this....

THE BEST CONCERT I'VE EVER SCENE....

Absolutely Incredible... and no... it wasn't the weed.... (we didnt bring any but there sure was a lot of it (God Bless Montreal) passed around) it was the music... Not special effects... Just the music..

I think what I love about the eagles, is that while they are all Great Musicians... who can Wail! they can also underplay a tune... keep it very basic, and still make it shine like a diamond... they seem to be content, alternately, to take a back seat... Strum basic Chords... to let someone else shine... and/or make the song work as a group.. Individual egos and off stage antics aside, when they are in Concert they are not a "hey look at me" band..... But rather a "lets make this sound really really cool" band.... difficult to do... at least from my limited perspecitive...

My Only dissappointment was that it was my first time seeing the Eagles, and While I know that neither he, or Timothy, or Joe, are "original" members... for me... "my eagles" are not the Eagles without Don Feldar... would have been cool to see Don in the line up . just for my own sense of nostalgia.... (forgive if I've miss-spelled Feldar or nostalgia) but that said.. the Dude they had to fill Feldars spot could REALLY really play... He reminded me of Barry Musseau actually..... if you don't know who Barry is... thats a shame... He's only one of the Best guitarist you've likely never heard, unless your from Port Aux Basques, Nl...

Anyway... I saw Pink Floyd (less Roger Waters) in 87 in Nice... (Momentary Lapse of Reason tour) and I've seen U2... and while each of those were "technically" better concerts.... For me... this Eagles show was the topper.......
