the COMMITMENTS at the Casino

I think the Casino has been one of Halifax's best kept secrets... they have had a lot of great acts ther over the last couple of years...

We went to the Bee Gees and Abba rip-off... it sounded good... and I was acutally impressed until I realized that 75% of what you heard was actually Pre-recorded.. and they were Lip-sync-ing much of it.. and fake playing the instruments... Not all.. but a lot...

Anyway.. I wont rant about that...

but I was a Huge Fan of the Commitments Movie... So I just HAD to go when I heard they were playing here..

My Buddy Scott Cheverie went with me.. and it was great....



The band actually only has a couple of the Movie members.. but man..... they were Great!!!!

You could tell they were on the last night of a very LONG tour... But man.. they were still Awesome... I'd definately go see these guys again... So good that you didnt even mind it that it wasn't the whole "Movie" version of the group.....

I even Hung around at the end to get my picture taken with the

band....

What can I say..... ok.. I'm a Geek!!!
