While there's been a notable absence of Blog activity lately, there's been No Shortage of actual Stuff happening.. too much perhaps... the quote "Burning the candle at both ends" certainly comes to mind...

So While unfortunately I 'Still" don't have time to re-hash all of it, I would like to say some well earned thanks to:

Ok, Now its friday...

Holy crap.. I'm tired..

Drive ti digby and back today, then quic supper, then the gig... and I was moving boxes late last nite....

the Casino gig was cool.. not as 'fun" as some of our other gigs, but it is kind of a presitge venue... so it is kind a cool just to play there...
but anyway...

was not a huge crowd, but some couple tipped us 5 bucks each in casino chips... asked coult they buy a cd... to bad its not done yet...


but maybe tomorrow should be more people.. it was a school nite tonight afterall... ..

ahhhh......itys just been a long week..

go to work and work, come home a work, packing, de-cluttering, moving stuff to storage... I think I should get an award for the most stuff crammed into 5x10 storage space... absolutely insane..

As much as I love to play, Im wishing i didnt have a gig this weekend... i'd really just like a nap.. maybe i'll get a 2nd win tomorrow..

Ever have one of "those" days?

Seems to be one of those weeks when I can't get out of 2nd gear.....

My little one was sick yesterday, so I had to "work from home" yesterday to mutli-task as Mr. Mom and nurse all at same time... I realy didnt get much "work" done, so I'll likely have to log it as a family sick day or a vaca or a pod... anyways... we lucked out and got a sitter in the afternoon so we could go to the house inspection... so far so good.. no surprises, just need a roofing quote to re-shingle... Anyone have any recomendations??

My mom's in town now, which is always cool.. and work wise, things went off the rails again today when an out of town meeting cancelled last minute.... ARRRGGGG!!!

I'm looking fwd to this weekend at the Casino should be a decent gig. I did finally break down and sign up for this new face book stuff... (under my hotmail addy if you want to add me) With Everyother site out there, I was reluctant to sign up for one more, but its kind a neet... there are somethings about it I like better then myspace, and some I don't, but overall.. what the heck!

Hurt.

OK, everything hurts...

Been lifting, packing, cleaning.. all day long.. much much more left to do...
Not even time to take a hot-water-bottle-back-break....

Oh well.. on the upside, its coming along just nicely.
I should put in for some vacation...

Another LARGE day...

What a day indeed....



Just a couple of days ago, We signed the deal to buy the new house... and here I am today Literally Dumpster-Diving in Bayers lake... Well, sort of...



We need to sell our house, and the painting if easy, the hard part is de-clutering... So I had to go on the hunt for Boxes...



My first go round had me asking stores if they had any, then a clerk a one of the retial stores in the park said just check the "cardboard only bins" out back....... So i did... Jackpot!!!!



Anyway... Our little one had fun "Making Cookies" and playing with the boxes, while we packed and packed and packed..



I carted 3 loads to the storage depot, broke a air vent grill in my van (that really bums me out, A completely cosmetic thing, but I'll still get it fixed, Im funny that way) and my back still hasn't forgiven me... So much so that i was having Spasms tonight while I was onstage at Monte's

We had a wicked nite, some of the new friends we made last week came out again to hear us, and MY SISTER and her friends came out as well (Thanks Sis)

Anyway... there was bunch of drunk guys there for a stagg party... they were really having a blast, and really into t he music... They kept requesting Tom Petty, (and we don't know any) so Scott Joked.... "We take requests, provided they are written on 20 dollar bills" and didn't they call our bluff...

so of course, were stuck now... we had to pull somethign out of our hat... So Steve sang that one from Full Moon Fever, "My sisters ex-husband...." which was oddly funny for several reasons, none of which I'll get into here.. ha ha ha....

The gig over all went very well, not a huge crowd, but a respectable one, and they really liked the music, there's even talk of having us back as a regular fixture, which is COOL by me... its a great bar, and the owners and staff are awesome...

So now its wind down time, maybe a bowl of cereal then a nap..

More packing, cleaning to do tomorrow...

My wifes mother and aunt are coming to help... THANK GOD, those two together are the very definition of hard work, its amazing actually....

Helps take the pressure off, really.. I could just stay out of their way, and cook dinner, and they'd get more done in a day then I could in a week, which is great cause thats how long we've given ourselves to get this place ready to list on MLS....

So if your looking for a great house.. Nows your chance before we put the sign in the line... Come a week from Monday, signs going on the lawn, and I dont think it will last long before its sold...

come to think about it, I'm gonna really miss this place...

We've loved this house from day one... Not only the house, but the neighborhood and the neighbors... You can't put a value on that.. and its something I KNOW we''ll miss a lot once we go to the new place... Oh well, were not gonna be that far away, we can visit....

Does anyone know what would happen if you put a Plasma or LCD Television on a wall, if directly below it was a wood stove??? would the heat F__k the TV up? if not imediatly, over time?????

A Neat side note... also shown in this pic (above) is J.P. from BluesSmith/Horsepower Blues Band.. I used to jam with them on the keys at the Seahorse on Thursday nites.. Wicked Wicked Band.. Those Guys ROCK!

Advance Notice: Spring Cleaning Time!!

I got about 2 weeks to get my house ready for sale..
no major surgery, just some painting of moldings... clean up yard... the hard part is gonna be de-cluttering and spring cleaning.....

So I just want to let this serve as advance notice to all that, selfishly, all projects are on hold for at least the next 2, maybe 3 weeks.. while I'm singularly focused on getting this stuff done... Feel free to volunteer to help if you want to... (ah-hem)

Don't worry Scott, I've had the Full Circle Stuff done for a week or two now, so thats done, and I can keep the gigs (I'll need the cash) but for all the the projects, recording or other are gonna be wayback on the back burner till I can get most of this stuff dealt with..

The Search Is Over!

Youve no doubt noticed a lack of rob Blogs lately...

We just been so busy with, well... Stuff that there never seems to be time..

Anyway... this represents the 3rd house We've made offers on, but this time.. it Hooked.. Its done... assuming no surprises on inspection, and I don't get fired before my financing, then its a done deal!!!

Ill post some more details later.. for now. Im exhausted.. just got the little one to bed, and I havent had my own supper yet, back hurts like hell, and the house is a mess...

Such is life, but over all.. it ain't half bad! Whew!!!


This place even has a room over the garage for MUSIC!!!
Little smaller then the music room I used to dream about... But it works... and its, well.. that idea was kind of a pipe dream at best... this is more practical.. and certainly fits the bill

ok, not really.. but man.. did we get dumped on with snow..

This was the scene when I got home last nite... and this is APRIL?? what the F--k!!!!


Anyway....Since the accident, my back aches' just thinking of shovelling snow...... I'd just gotten started on it, and had resolved to give it my best effort... when one of my neighbors came by with his Snow Blower and Saved me!!!!

Monte's was Awesome

With all the weather, we didnt get a good crowd... maybe 20-30 tops... But they sure were an appreciative crowd... which makes it all worth the while..

I'd never actually been in there before, but what a nice bar..

The bar owners were reall nice and hired us to come back next sat nite for another gig...

So were back at Monte's again next Saturday from 9-12 ish...
